As a part of the Year 4’s brand new Inquiry unit "What are the unique characteristics and ecological diversities of Africa and South America?" They have been fortunate enough to today, participate in a fun 'CELEBRATION' day.
To begin the day, students were involved in a fashion parade. The parade was hosted by 4 very clever year 4 leaders. With their prep, year 1 and 2 peers there to support and cheer them on, year 4’s danced to morning away to songs of Africa and South America. We saw colourful costumes from both continents, as well animals, safari leaders and sports stars.
Year 4’s also had the incredible opportunity to participate in an African drumming workshop, art and craft activities as well as the viewing of two documentaries.
It was a fun and exciting way to celebrate all the hard work students have put into their learning this term.
